This ongoing series is an inquiry into the relationship between strength and vulnerability. These paintings attempt to express the innate connection between human strength and the vitality of our natural environment.

Living Letters

Language is fundamentally creative and holds incredible potential for healing, connecting human beings with the natural world and with one another.

According to Jewish tradition, the Hebrew aleph-bet is the spiritual bedrock of the universe; God is believed to have spoken our world into creation. According to the Torah, every Hebrew letter is sacred and its form holds universal truths.

In 2023, I invited my online network to take photos, together, as a way to infuse the English alphabet with a sense of material creative power.
